Information on the processing and protection of personal data

What is this information for?

This information about the processing and protection of your personal data explains who we are, why and how we process personal data, what your rights are if you are a person affected by this processing, and how you can contact us if necessary.

Who are we?

We are a political movement called Progressive Slovakia, with its registered office at Grosslingova 51, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, ID number 51 224 836, registered in the Registry of Political Parties and Movements maintained by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic under no. SVS- OVR1-2017 / 039325 and we are the so-called operator who is authorized in accordance with the relevant legislation to process your personal data in connection with the activities of a political movement.

We have entrusted the processing of your personal data to people on our own team, as well as the people who provide us with services in connection with the operation of the website, the so-called intermediaries.

To ensure the proper functioning of this site, your data may be made available to other service providers to the extent necessary. A list of all intermediaries and other recipients is given on our website, via this link.

We process your personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, in particular in accordance with Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data, and this information. You can find our contact details and other information at the end of this text in the Our Contacts section or on the website https://www.progresivne.sk/en/about-us/.

When do we process your personal data?

We may process your personal data in the following cases:

● You have registered on our websites.
● You have subscribed to our newsletter in the form of a newsletter.
● You have participated in our events.
● You have signed our petitions or sheets to create a movement.
● You have become or are interested in becoming our member, volunteer and / or trainee or sponsor.
● You comment, like, or otherwise interact with our content on our websites or social networking profiles, including the personal profiles of our election leaders.

In all of these cases, we were able to obtain your personal data directly from you, for example through our website, through our social media accounts, when completing the questionnaire in person or on another occasion.

How do we process personal data?

The personal data we process includes in particular:

● Your name and surname.
● Your date of birth and your nationality, if you have become or are interested in becoming a member.
● Your contact details, which include the address of your permanent residence, phone number, e-mail address, social media account and other personal or work contact details.
● Data regarding expressions of sympathy, comments or other interactions with the content on our profiles set up on social networks (so-called fan pages) or on our websites.

Information we obtain from our mutual communication

In addition to personal data, we may collect and subsequently process other data and information that you provide to us or that result from our mutual communication by telephone, e-mail, our website, social networks or other means.

The information we obtain from use of cookies.

On our website we use so-called. cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and can be stored by your internet browser for the purpose of identifying your device and technical improvement or customization of our site, as well as for obtaining statistical and analytical data. The cookies used on our website do not allow us to specifically identify the user of the site, since the data obtained from cookies are usually collected in an aggregated form.

Acceptance of cookies is not a necessary requirement to allow you to visit our website. Most internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can adjust these settings as you wish. If you decide not to accept cookies, it is possible that some functions of our website will not work properly.

The most common cookies we use are temporary cookies (so-called session cookies), which will be deleted after the end of the browser session. In addition, there are long-term cookies (so-called persistent cookies), with which we can identify your device from which you have visited our site in the past.

Information we obtain from interactions on social networks

Only the common categories of personal data specified above are processed for marketing activities. We do not process any special categories of personal data for this purpose. We do not consider data on potential sympathies, expressed interest and interactions with digital content about Progressive Slovakia to be your political opinions or political beliefs, as we believe that our non-sympathizers and political rivals are also watching us in the online space.

We consider the personal profiles of our political leaders or our candidates to be part of the processing carried out by Progressive Slovakia, even with reference to internal regulations, agreements, and Art. 29 GDPR.

As far as your direct marketing address via Messenger is concerned, this is possible on the basis of the integration of data from Facebook, which is also the provider of this application (see https://www.messenger.com/privacy for more details). In case we contact you via Messenger, the source of your personal data can be Facebook or yourself, if we have already communicated. If you are actively interested in one of our events or campaigns (e.g. you subscribe to receive information or newsletter), we may in the future e.g. send our videos, blogs or ads via email, phone or social media.

How do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data for the purpose of:

● providing information about our activities, including sending e-mails, text messages or telephone calls about our news and / or for the purpose of answers to the questions you have sent us directly;
● administration and organization of our relationships with members, supporters, volunteers, trainees, or persons interested in our activities; and
● administration of our website and our social media accounts, in order to display the content of the site and accounts as efficiently as possible, based on testing and data analysis.

To whom do we make your personal information available?

In addition to our intermediaries listed on this link, we can publish or make your information available on the basis of a court decision or other state authorities entitled to request their publication and / or disclosure on the basis of or in accordance with the obligation imposed by the relevant legislation.

What is the legal basis for our processing of your personal data?

We process your personal data primarily with the consent that you have granted to us before processing begins. Options for withdrawing consent to processing are listed below in this document.

If necessary, we may further process your personal data in the case of:

● if you have entered into or plan to enter into a contract with us, the necessity of performing the contract, or in connection with pre-contractual negotiations before concluding such a contract; or
● the need to comply with our legal obligations.


Where do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data mainly in the territory of the European Union, more precisely in the territory of the States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Nevertheless, some of our suppliers, in particular those whose services we use to operate our website, may also process various data in the United States of America (USA), and personal data may be processed among this data.

The transfer of personal data to the US can take place on the basis of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1250 of 12 July 2016 on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield.

How long do we process your personal information for?

We process your personal data only for the time necessary to achieve the purpose for which your personal data was obtained. We may process personal data on the basis of your consent for the entire period of validity of your consent, which is five years from its granting.

After this period, your personal data will be deleted, except where further processing is necessary to ensure compliance with our legal obligations or for other legitimate reasons in accordance with generally binding legal regulations.

What are your rights?

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights:

● You have the right to ask us for access to your personal data that we process.
● You have the right to ask us to correct incorrect personal information we process.
